BIGGER IS ...

NOVEMBER 1, 2026

We've all heard it.  Probably tried it.  Perhaps suggested it.  The bigger is better falacy has been around for a long time.

Dream big. Think big.  Go big or go home. Hit the big time. So many ways we are urged to choose big.  We morph into believing bigger is the only route to success, even happiness.

The fact is - as the old song says - It aint necessarily so.

Small acts of kindness.  Small towns.  Small children.  Small business.

In the right context 'small' suggests hope, sharing.

In the words of Margaret Mead - A few caring people can change the word.

Most small business owners are inbued with caring.

It's not growing bigger that propels them along.

They love what they do. It's the people they serve. The people they help.

Being small helps them focus on what matters.

It's OK, even good, to dream big - for our business, our children, our town, ourselves - the world.

As we dream, remember:  It's the small steps along the way that produce results we seek.
